He's HOME!

His doctor told us yesterday that Jim could come home on Wednesday...with a doctor's normal disregard for anyone's planning....this morning he said that Jim could come home today. I don't mean to sound ungrateful that he was coming home...but I sure was nervous about being responsible for his care. The men came with the oxygen equipment this morning and set it up for me...and then I went to pick Jim up....we had to wait for a couple of hours while they got things ready for him to go...and then we came home. It was rush hour traffic...but we had Christmas Carols playing on the radio...(Yep...one of the stations started playing Carols on November 1st)...a little early but very calming on the ride home....so calming that Jim fell asleep. He said that he slept better in the car than he had last night in the hospital bed. :)
I had a couple of minor nervous breakdowns this evening (Privately in the kitchen and one not so private one in Walgreens)....but things are calming down and getting organized (Well...as organized as I ever get). Jim's not in perfect shape...and I'm not sure that he ever will be....but we're working on it...and at least he's home with me. Thank you to all of you for listening to me cry, whine and complain. I can't talk to all of you...but I can feel you out there and it really helps.
