It was a good Fourth of July....Mom's cousins came in from Colorado; Jen ,Eric and the girls came over to celebrate with us... and Matthew was home for a few days for the 4th and to stand up to his friend John's wedding on Saturday. The weather played games with us in the morning...gloomy and threatening rain...but it turned out to be a beautiful day. We had lunch...the girls played in the pool all afternoon...and when it got dark enough...some sparklers and a few rockets lit up our driveway. Even better were the fireworks in the sky from the displays in all the surrounding suburbs...we heard booms and bangs almost all night long.
