The Daring Cardmakers Challenge for this week has an Asian Theme to celebrate Buddha's Birthday on April 9th.....think Sakura Blossoms, lanterns, temples, Nepalese prayer flags...so many beautiful things to choose for a card. Have fun making your card and then see what the designers at Daring Cardmakers have done with the theme!
My card for the challenge: A beautiful Japanese woman from Graphic 45's "BirdSong" line...trimmed with striated gold foil paper circles and tiny dots of gold in the blossoms. The sentiment on the card says "Happiness" along with the Japanese symbol for Love....I went over the sentiment with a clear glaze pen to make it stand out.
Patterns are distinctive artistic or decorative designs. They can be identical, similar or wildly different...pretty much like people...each person has the swirls, dots and stripes that make up their own distinctive patterns. Welcome to my blog...and to getting to know some of my patterns.

Such a beautiful, evocative card. Those papers are lush! You can always pick out Graphic 45 stuff, can't you, it's got a style all of its own!
this card is just so beautiful and elegant - just what an oriental themed card should be
