I've shown pictures of my Mom's bird (Cory) a while ago when he was a baby. He's grown up now...he weighs 1.6 ounces....and he's learned a lot in the last 2 years. He can talk....pretty bird, orange juice (I'm not sure why he can say that.), kiss, birdie and yes.His favorite food is waffles and maple syrup...or pancakes and maple syrup...or crepes and maple syrup...sensing a theme here? We try not to tell the vet about Cory's eating habits...and we've cut off the maple syrup since he got sick a couple of months ago. He's fine now but we've learned our lesson. He's going to stick to seeds, water and fruit...but he doesn't like it.

Why can't he have maple syrup? Are you sure that's what made him ill?
We're not sure if the maple syrup got him sick...but the vet wasn't really thrilled at what Cory was eating...so we stopped giving it to him. (At least as much as we used to...he's awfully cute when he's sharing breakfast with us!)
Lovely bird! Who wouldn't like maple syrup.... Sounds like breakfast time at your house is more fun than at ours!
